Unlock Permanent Residency and Citizenship in Cyprus through Property Investment
Residency through Property Investment
Investing in real estate in Cyprus can qualify you for a permanent residency permit through the Fast-Track Permanent Residence Program. The key investment criteria include:
- Minimum Investment Requirement: Applicants must invest a minimum of €300,000 in a property, which must be a new property purchased from a developer. It can be either a residential property (apartment or house) or a commercial property (office, shop, or hotel).
- Additional Income Requirements: The applicant must have a secured annual income of at least €50,000, which increases by €15,000 for the spouse and €10,000 for each dependent child. This income must come from sources outside Cyprus unless the investment is in a Cypriot business or investment fund.
- Eligibility for Dependents: The residency permit covers the applicant’s spouse and children under the age of 18. Unmarried children aged 18-25 who are financially dependent on the applicant and enrolled in tertiary education can also be included.
- Flexibility in Investments: Apart from real estate, other eligible investment categories include purchasing shares in Cypriot companies, investing in units of Cypriot investment funds, or contributing to government bonds.
With permanent residency, you and your family can reside in Cyprus indefinitely. We can assist you in navigating the application process, ensuring all documentation is prepared correctly and submitted for approval.
Citizenship through Property Investment
Although the previous Cyprus Citizenship by Investment program has been suspended, the permanent residency obtained through property investment provides a pathway to citizenship under certain conditions:
- Long-term Residency: After seven years of continuous legal residence in Cyprus, you can apply for Cypriot citizenship, provided you have maintained your investment and meet other criteria such as residency duration and financial stability.
- Naturalization Requirements: The applicant must have stayed in Cyprus for a minimum of five years out of the seven years prior to the application, with the final year being continuous residence.
